ABOUT US

ETHAN WILEY - DIRECTOR, TREASURER

Ethan Wiley wears a variety of hats, including filmmaker, musician, and now arts administrator.  After a long career in Hollywood as a producer, writer and director, Ethan finally went into the family business representing his father in 2018.  He is currently directing a documentary about Wiley's good friend and colleague, artist and musician Mike Henderson, for FOR-SITE in San Francisco.

ZANE WILEY - DIRECTOR, SECRETARY

Zane Wiley is the Athletic Director and Dean of Students at Brandeis Marin in Marin County. Like his father, Zane is an expert fisherman and has been the Director of his Z Experience Fishing Camp for kids for 30 years.  He is also two-time Pro-Am Bass Fishing Champion for California.  Zane was also a member of the Sir Francis Drake High School basketball team which won the California State Championship, Division II title, in 1982.

OUR STORY

After a 50 year career as a leading California artist, Wiley was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2014.  He continued to make art until just before his passing in 2021.  Ethan began representing his father for all business affairs in 2018.  After Wiley's passing in 2021, his second wife, Mary Hull Webster, donated a large portion of the artworks held by their Trust to the WIlliam T. Wiley Foundation in late 2025.  She passed away shortly thereafter, due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

The Wiley Family, including his first wife, filmmaker Dorothy Wiley, and his two children, Ethan & Zane Wiley, donated all copyright and royalties of their private artwork collections to the Foundation in 2026.  Ethan and  Zane are the current board members of the foundation and are in the beginning stages of development, governance, and organization to build a robust educational and exhibition agenda to fulfill the new foundation's mission: to promote Wiley's legacy and support arts education.
